Next day of trip you will
travel towards Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. People seeThe Ashokan Pillar
that is made from pink sandstone and stands at 6 meters. It stands next to
Mayadevi Temple where Buddha was born. It is one of few Ashokan pillars to have
an inscription. Another beautiful site is Mahadevi temple that is surrounded by

tallest statue of Buddha in India. It is in form of a meditating Buddha resting
on a giant lotus, constructed using intricately carved sandstone and red
granite.
Our last destination is
sarnath in Varanasi where Buddha gave its first sermon. Other sights are
Sarnath museum that contains many artifacts, coins, and sculptures from the
Maurya Dynasty including the Lion Capital sculpture as the centerpiece.
Varanasi is a pious place of river ganga. In the early morning you can take a mesmerizing
